music

Guitar, songwriting, and collaboration of all kinds — solo, in a band, and in the studio.

I’ve played guitar for about a decade. For a long time it was a private thing — playing by myself, learning covers, occasionally recording a rough demo into my phone. These days it’s mostly about collaboration: playing in a band, writing with other people, and producing recordings together. I work across a few modes that I’d rather keep coexisting than choose between — solo singer-songwriter, electric guitar-driven stuff, band collaboration, and studio production. Sound-wise I pull from John Mayer, The Black Keys, Leon Bridges, Arctic Monkeys, the White Stripes, and a lot of folk-narrative writers like Dylan and Jeff Buckley.

Ozone Destructors

I play rhythm/lead guitar in a trio called Ozone Destructors with two friends in San Diego. Sural is the frontman and producer; Greg holds down the rhythm section. We’re three people with flexible instrumentation — any duo or the full trio can play a gig with different arrangements. We’ve been practicing roughly weekly since mid-2025, recording every session on a GoPro and archiving the audio.

We’ve worked through a pretty wide repertoire — plenty of covers (Weezer, Radiohead, Sublime, Nirvana, White Stripes, Amy Winehouse) and a growing set of originals. The goal is to tighten up a 12–15 song core setlist and start playing gigs.

Solo

Acoustic covers, open mics, and the occasional original. Most of what I’m working on solo lives in my music directory as rough takes; the best ones eventually get re-recorded as proper demos.

Sural

A collaboration project with Sural that predates the band — a mix of originals and collabs with other musicians. A lot of it is electronic and production-heavy, which is a fun change from the mostly-live setup of Ozone Destructors.

Greenroom

Because my music library had grown past what I could manage by hand, I built Greenroom — a self-hosted career manager for aspiring musicians. Track repertoire, rate practice takes, plan content, and follow a roadmap from bedroom to stage. It reads my existing directory structure and turns it into a dashboard.

Let’s collaborate

The thing I care about most here is playing with other people. If you’re a musician in San Diego looking for a guitarist, a co-writer, or someone to record with — or you just want to jam, swap songs, or hear what I’m working on — I’d love to hear from you. Reach me at adamklie13@gmail.com.
